Different Types Of Veil

Have you decided to use a veil but you don't know what size choose?. Don't worry, i'm going to explain you the different types of veil that exist in the market and which is the most appropriate choice.

Shoulder length: This style of veil is the extended version of the bouffant veil, sitting below the shoulder, reaching up to the armpit of the bride. It totally depends entirely on the choice of the bride, which veil she wants to use on the wedding day.

Blusher: The incorrect conception is that the blusher is a bouffant or the shoulder length veil. However, blusher is the piece of veil that covers the face only. Blusher can be attached to any type of veil. Or the other way round, the bride may decide not have a blusher at all. A blusher is generally 18 inches in length.

Elbow lenght: The veil falling just at the elbow is also considered as a short length veil and looks very pretty in young brides in twenties with strapless wedding gown. Fingertip length:this type of veil ends at the fingertips of the bride. It suits brides of all ages and with all type of wedding gowns. Fingertip veil is more suitable for the brides on the heavier side, if they are keen on shorter length veil.

Waltz length: This model was very popular in 1800's and 1920, they are very classic and elegant. The veil falls to touch the floor or just an inch above the floor, according to the length of the wedding gown. This veil will accentuate the femininity in you.

Chapel length: This is classic, elegant and sophisticated. As per the tradition, the length of the veil must be similar to the train of the wedding gown. However, it is not hard and fast rule. In fact, 108 inches in length, the chapel veil creates a soft romantic and graceful look, even if the gown falls pretty well on the floor without a train.

Cathedral length: 144 inches long, cathedral veil is one of the most elegant and classic yet cumbersome type of veils considering the length of it. The bride needs the help of the bridesmaids to lift it while walking and to place it while standing or getting the pictures clicked. The modern brides prefer shorter veils to be comfortable throughout the ceremony to enjoy the most special day of their lives. But, if you can carry it, cathedral veil is the most picture perfect and beautiful veil to wear it on your wedding. It's very typical to find it in royal weddings.

The Veil

Before introducing in the world of the veil, we are going to discover the origin of the veil and why it has become an esential complement of many brides. The veil has also a relevant moment during the ceremony. When it is risen. The groom is the only person who can rise it. This is a beautiful moment when the couple look at their eyer each other and after say the expected sentence: “Yes, I do”

Their origin comes from the past when people believed in evil spirits. They thought they could be around to ruin the wedding ceremony. The bride wore a veil to cover her face. In this way, evil spirits would not know who was the bride. Likewise, bridesmaid were made part of the ceremony to surround the bride, so evil spirits would be confused about who the actual bride was, and leave. Many couples today still honor these customs, but use the veil to hide the bride's face until it is first revealed to her groom. The bridesmaids are chosen to help the bride celebrate her happy day. This is also true for the ushers to celebrate with the groom.

Although we are getting used to think the veil has always been white, this is not true. As we told in the review about the colour of the dress, where we discover that there are many colours according to the culture or the election of the bride. With the veil happens the same. In some cultures used the veil to transmitt messages. For example the yellow veil was a virginity proof, while blue in honour to the Virgin.

And you?. Are you going to use this ornament?, white?, other colours?. Tell us.

                                                  Source: http://www.glamcheck.com

If you are reading this article, you have realized the shape of your body is very important when you choose your clothes. Even if you have decided to be right, let me give you some advices.

First of all we are going to distinguish the different bodies that there are, and the different features has each one to identify which our shape is.

1st Triangle/Pear Shape:

If you have this kind of body the width of your chest is proportionately narrower than your hips. You typically have narrow shoulders. The bottom half of your body is generally fuller. (Hips, thighs, butt)
As you know you must avoid narrow clothes in the bottom half of your body, because they can give the imprresion that youhave extra weight. If you use pleats, they must be from your hips.
The best option will be an empire wedding dress. If you choose the drapped top and the skirt bell-bottomed will stand out your curves with delicacy.

The best option for you will be a strapless gown with lace beadwork. It will adapt you on your hip and straight skirt.

A greek tunic could be another option.

Be Creative My Friend

Have you ever listened this famous Bruce Lee' sentence? One of the best ideas, for saving money, could be create our own decoration. For it, we will start with the most significant ornaments, flowers.

In Greece and in Rome ,the sweethearts (couple lovers) wore flowers around their neck which  symbolized the new life, hope and fertility. These collars necklaces were made of herbs and spices, because thy thought the strong smells owned mystical powers and with them, they could dispel the bad spirits.

A few years after, the knights who participated in the crusades, watched in the brides who lived in the mountains. They were made of orange blossom, which was a purity symbol.
In 1840, when the Queen Victory got married Prince Albert of Sajonia, were used  edible flowers, as calenduda (known as lust herb), and after the bride and groom and the guets ate during the wedding.

Nowadays , we use different flowers and forms. But, before choosing your wedding buquet, you should take into account the colours. Why? Because they must combine with your hair, skin and eyes, your bridal dress... But the most important, you have to remember that every flower has a meaning. So, what do you want to say?

Elegance: Acacias.
Purity: White Lily.
Love: roses. White Rose: dignity; red roses beauty ;
Calm, peace: Rose without thorn or azalea.
Loyalty: Veronica
Blue violet: confidence …
